Welcome!
All items are made by me in my home studio.
If you are in the Ottawa/Gatineau area and would like to arrange for pick up, please feel free to get in touch and we can arrange something.
Buttons are made from a rolled slab of clay, carefully shaped, textured and painted by hand. Any other clay work may be either hand-built or wheel-thrown. Extra care is taken to ensure that all edges are rounded and smooth. They are glaze fired at cone 6, or about 1100 degrees celcius, making a very strong clay product. All glazes are food safe.
Clay buttons are quite strong. However, since they are ceramic, some care should be taken. They may go through the washer and dryer with the garment turned inside out to reduce the bumping and friction on the buttons. Water and gentle detergent will not damage them. They are perfectly suited for hand-knits, and would look great on a hand sewn bag!

5 out of 5 starsI absolutely adore these buttons. They are even more beautiful in person. The glaze is lovely and the clay on the back is perfectly smooth. They are a perfect size for a cardigan. I’ll be ordering more buttons in the future!
